Paymentology’s story began with the merger of two trailblazing companies in the payments industry: Tutuka and Paymentology UK. Each company brought distinct strengths to the table, creating a foundation of global expertise and cloud-based innovation that sets Paymentology apart today.

Tutuka, based in South Africa, was a renowned issuer processor and card programme manager, providing cutting-edge solutions to banks and businesses across Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

Paymentology UK pioneered cloud-first processing in Europe and the UK, helping legacy banks transition to advanced, flexible platforms as early as 2014.

In 2021, these two leaders merged to form a unified brand under Paymentology, bringing together their complementary expertise to redefine issuer processing on a global scale. Shortly after, Paymentology became part of Teya, strengthening its position as a leading next-generation payments processor.

Today, Paymentology stands at the forefront of payments innovation, a company built on global expertise and advanced capabilities that enable our clients to deliver best-in-class payment experiences worldwide.
