Web Provisioning:
Deliver cards to the wallet from the web
Extend wallet provisioning beyond the mobile app. Web Provisioning lets cardholders add cards to Apple Pay or Google Pay from a supported browser, creating a direct path from an issuer’s website to digital payments.
A more flexible way to provision
With Apple Pay, cardholders can add a card to multiple Apple devices linked to their Apple ID at once. With Google Pay, cardholders select Add to Google Pay on the issuer’s website and complete provisioning there.
For issuers, Web Provisioning brings wallet access to more moments across the card journey, from digital onboarding to account management and card replacement. It also supports a wider range of card programmes, including corporate and gift cards.
More ways to put cards in cardholders’ hands
Web Provisioning supports a range of digital card experiences:
Instant card issuance
Let customers add a card to their wallet after completing an online application.
Corporate card programmes
Make virtual cards available to business cardholders through a web experience.
Digital gift cards
Give customers a direct way to add a gift card to their digital wallet.
Web-based account management
Support cardholders who manage their cards on your website.
Card replacement
Help cardholders add a replacement card to their wallet and get back to paying.
A direct route from issuer to wallet
The cardholder starts in the issuer’s web experience. For Google Pay, they select Add to Google Pay, a provisioning session is created and card credentials are retrieved and sent to Google Pay. For Apple Pay, cardholders can provision to the Apple devices linked to their Apple ID, including multiple devices in the same flow.
Built for Apple Pay and Google Pay
Web Provisioning supports Apple Pay and Google Pay. Each implementation has its own provider requirements and integration process.
Apple Pay
Cardholders can provision a card from a supported browser to Apple devices linked to their Apple ID, including multiple devices at once. Implementation requires a signed agreement with Apple, Mastercard or Visa test and production environments, an API key, an Apple Pay Partner ID, and an onboarded Card Template in the Apple Business Register account.
Google Pay
Cardholders start and complete provisioning on the issuer’s website by selecting Add to Google Pay. Card credentials are retrieved and sent to Google Pay. Implementation requires a signed agreement with Google, Mastercard or Visa test and production environments, an API key, a Google Pay Merchant ID of Aggregator, Google Pay Unified Push Provisioning API access, and a Google Pay Merchant ID in Google Issuer Console.
Extend your digital wallet experience
Give cardholders another way to reach their digital wallets, directly from your web experience.
